Árbol de Bruma

Salva Baixlaigua.
Árbol de bruma. 2008.
Painting on wood, mixed technique: acrylic, ink, watercolour, graphite pencil, gesso and charcoal.
220×75 cm.

The title of the painting means “Mist Tree”. It is painted on a large wooden panel. A landscape with a giant tree on a golden sky reflected on the lake. Tree branches generate the white mist. The reflection on the water is not exactly the tree you see on the upper part of the painting; with its crackle texture it does not reflect the color of the sky. Gold and blue gray duality.
